A product of the Reds youth academy, Williams voiced his delight at having extended his stay at Liverpool FC further by five years. He also credited the Reds full-back duo of Trent Alexander Arnold and Andy Robertson of aiding his development at the club.
“At the minute, for me, I think there is no better place to learn and to become a better player than being here and working with the lads.
“I think we’ve got some of the best players in the world and we’re one of the best teams in the world.
“For me personally, especially learning off Trent and Robbo every day, getting their advice, seeing what they say, it’s only going to make me a better player and I feel it.
The 19-year old featured sporadically for Jurgen Klopp’s side across their last title-winning league campaign. He made 11 appearances for the Reds, with six of them coming in the Premier League that was ultimately clinched by Liverpool FC.
Williams, however, did make an impact on Klopp with his showings on the pitch post the lockdown period. The Liverpool FC boss even made the decision to start the 19-year old at left-back, giving Robertson some much-needed rest.
As a result of the Welsh starlet making more than five league outings across the season, Williams was entitled to receive a Premier League winners’ medal.
