Neco Williams is reportedly unlikely to be shipped out on loan on deadline day despite Bournemouth’s interest in the young full-back.
The Wales international has been on the fringes of the Liverpool first-team ranks so far this season with his outings limited to the Carabao Cup where Jurgen Klopp’s men are through to the finals.
Ahead of Monday’s deadline, there had been speculation doing the rounds that Championship outfit Bournemouth were weighing up a move for Williams’ signature on loan until the end of the campaign.
Reports from The Athletic, however, suggest Williams is not keen on leaving Anfield in the final hours of the January transfer window as he would rather fight for regular minutes on the pitch under Jurgen Klopp’s charge.
It remains to be seen whether the young Welshman could be tempted into a move away from Merseyside in the dying embers of the mid-year window with Liverpool unlikely to stand in the player’s way should he want to seek the exit route.
