New Liverpool signing pens heartfelt message for former club

Soon-to-be-Liverpool FC summer signing Thiago Alcantara has confirmed his Bayern Munich exit in a heartfelt message posted on his social media accounts.

The 29-year old Spanish international expressed his gratitude towards the Bavarian giants and explained his motive behind leaving Bayern on purely ‘sporting’ reasons, adding that the decision made by him to end his seven-year-long stint at the Allianz Arena had been “the most difficult of my sports career”.

Thiago is expected to land in Liverpool during the early hours of Saturday and will undergo his medical examination scheduled to be held at the Merseyside club’s training facility of Melwood, following which the midfielder will put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Jurgen Klopp had been persistent over finalizing an approach for the 29-year old ever since the player indicated his reluctance to renew terms with Bayern Munich. Despite the Bundesliga champions sticking to their £27 million price-tag for the playmaker, Liverpool FC ceded to the same over the month-long negotiations between the two European heavyweights.
