Jürgen Klopp and his side recorded another win on the road as they made a giant stride towards the Barclays Premier League title.
It was a frenetic encounter as both teams sought to break the deadlock in the game. It finished goalless at half-time as both sides competed effectively in the game.
However, with 12 minutes left to play the visitors took the lead from the run of play as Sadio Mane scored to seal the win for Liverpool.
Following the Reds 0-1 away victory against Norwich City, we evaluate the three significant lessons we learned from the game.
LIVERPOOL IMPERIOUS RUN CONTINUES
The Reds were on song on the road as they ensured another win against Daniel Farke’s Norwich City side. It was a highly contested finale as the Norwich fans made the match an interesting game to watch with a colourful atmosphere.
Nevertheless, the European Champions scored to seal the win and ensuring that they remain unbeaten despite the exploits of Alexander Banor Tettey and Teemu Pukki in transition. Liverpool held firm as they bagged another three points en route to the title this season.
NORWICH CITY WAS BRAVE
The home side might have lost the match in front of their home fans but they will go away head held high as they proved their mettle in the contest. They were a handful for Liverpool as Jürgen Klopp’s men struggled to find a breakthrough goal in the game.
The Norwich side made their case as they played in a way deserving recognition as even the match result speaks volumes for itself.
Teams higher placed in the League have played badly at home against Liverpool. Leicester City lost 0-4 to Liverpool while West Ham United (the Londoners) have lost 0-2 at home to Liverpool.
The narrow home loss and the chances they had during the game will be an incentive as they walk a tight rope in the relegation zone this season.
LIVERPOOL DO A DOUBLE
The Anfield side may have beaten Norwich City with a convincing 4-1 win at the start of the season at Anfield in August. However, it was this 0-1 away win that saw the Reds complete the double over the relegation-threatened Canaries.
Pulling their strings and fighting for every ball for obvious reasons, they lost the match 0-1 to supposed Premier League Champions as the home fans created an enabling atmosphere for their home team to flourish.
This left Liverpool unperturbed though as they recorded home and away victory over Norwich City thus claiming all the six points available as the case may be in this fixture with two wins at the expense of Norwich in the Premier League this season.
