Atletico Madrid shot-stopper Jan Oblak has insisted that there was more to Liverpool than just their brilliant front three and said they have deserved the favorites tag ahead of the clash.
The runaway Premier League leaders will face La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 ties at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night.
Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino will once again shape up as being huge threats to Atletico, who have managed just one win in their past seven games.
One player who is arguably likely to play a key role for the Spanish outfit is Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak and the 27-year-old said there was more to worry about than just Liverpool attackers
Ahead of the mouth-watering clash, Oblak revealed that Atleti have analyzed almost everything about the Liverpool players and the whole team poses a threat, “We’ve obviously analyzed everything but in the end, all three are world-class players, And it’s not only them, Liverpool are a team and everyone on the pitch is an amazing player. They are in great form so I need to worry about all of them, not anyone individually.
Oblak further explained that he is worried about keeping a clean sheet because the whole Liverpool team can hurt the home side, “I’m worried about Liverpool as a team, we are playing Liverpool, not three great players upfront. It will be a very difficult game and all three will cause us problems.”
