Official- Liverpool Sign Former West Ham Goalkeeper Adrian

Premier League outfit Liverpool has completed the signing of Spanish shot-stopper Adrian Castillo on a free transfer following the departure of Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet earlier this week.

After the Champions League success this summer, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will certainly look to challenge for newer and better things in the near future and use the continental glory as a platform to take that giant step for the betterment of the club.

The Reds came close to ending their 30-year-long wait for a Premier League title last year but finished just one solitary point behind Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in an incredible run. The Merseyside giants will now look to compete for other trophies as well and therefore Klopp needs suitable backup options in all departments if Liverpool is to compete on all fronts for the future.

Simon Mignolet was the latest player to exit Liverpool this summer as he joined Club Brugge and the Belgian’s departure meant that the European champions will now have to bring in a suitable number two as a cover-up for Brazilian Alisson Becker if the 26-year-old is out injured or needs a break.

Liverpool has acted quickly as they managed to sign former West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian Castillo on a free transfer when his contract expired with the London outfit this summer. Adrian spent six seasons with the Hammers but the 32-year-old was released last week and Liverpool decided to swoop in for the Spaniard.

Just after signing his new contract for Liverpool, Adrian expressed his ambition and delight at making the move to Klopp’s unit, “I’m very ambitious, I come here to try to win everything, to try to push Ali from the first minute and to make us better. Obviously, I want to win titles. I come here to fight for all the competitions. We have many competitions ahead – we’re going to fight for it and try to get them.”
