Ozan Kabak has highlighted the sheer importance of Liverpool FC’s emphatic win over Arsenal on Saturday night which the young Turk believes would provide extra motivation to the Reds going forward in their hopes to clinch a top-four finish.
Jurgen Klopp’s men clinched a vital victory on their visit to North London as a brilliant second-half showing from the Merseysiders was capped off with goals from Diogo Jota and Mohammad Salah with the former netting a brace after being brought on the pitch with 30 minutes to play for.
Liverpool’s performance warranted a 3-0 scoreline, says Kabak
In an interview with the club’s official website, the on-loan defender said that the inspired showing put out by Liverpool FC warranted the 3-0 scoreline enjoyed by them at the final whistle.

Kabak added that the clean sheet was a bonus for the Reds with the younger’s centre-back pairing with Nat Phillips reaping rich dividends for an injury-ravaged outfit at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
“It was so important for us, this feeling. As you know, we have lost points so we had an extra motivation. We played very well and we dominated the game.
“I think in the first half we gave it everything in the tackles, in the challenges, in the midfield, and second half we found the goals. Three-nil is a really, really good score and we are so happy we kept the clean sheet also.”
“With Nat, we know each other every day better and better.”
“Now it’s three clean sheets in a row and I hope we will keep it up in the Madrid games too. It’s so important for us, the Champions League, and we are just so happy.”
Kabak’s showings key to Liverpool’s resurgence in domestic form
The 21-year-old Kabak has impressed in recent weeks for Jurgen Klopp’s side and his solid displays at the back alongside Phillips has been attributed as a major factor behind the resurgence recorded by Liverpool FC of late.
It remains to be seen whether the Reds gaffer Klopp would decide against keeping Kabak at Anfield beyond this summer or whether the player’s rich vein of recent form convinces Klopp to trigger his buy-out clause.
