Paris Saint-Germain lead Liverpool in a longstanding pursuit to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie who is out of contract next summer.
The Ligue 1 giants are in pole position to land Kessie’s signature which is coveted in the transfer market and has the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur keeping close tabs on his contract situation.
Kessie’s deal at San Siro is due to expire at the end of the season and there is the speculation that the Ivory Coast international midfield man will demand a move elsewhere and not renew terms in Italy.
According to reports from the Italian news outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport ( via TEAMtalk), it is claimed that Liverpool are in line for a setback in their attempts to lure the AC Milan contract rebel to Anfield where he is a top target.
Jurgen Klopp’s search for reinforcements to shore up his midfield ranks has Kessie as a priority name on the shopping list with the Ivorian set for a free transfer come next summer when he leaves AC Milan.
