Ex-England international Paul Robinson has backed Borussia Dortmund talent Jude Bellingham to make the move to Liverpool where would be a great fit, according to the goalkeeper.
Bellingham has long been admired by the Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp who is looking to reinforce his engine room by dipping into the transfer market for fresh blood.
Dortmund’s reluctance to sanction Bellingham’s sale in this year’s summer transfer window was well documented with the Germans not keen to lose another key first-teamer after parting ways with Erling Haaland.
This has not deterred Liverpool’s strong interest in moving in for the teenage midfield maestro with the Merseysiders, who are joined by the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea, continuing to keep tabs on Bellingham’s situation.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Blackburn Rovers shot stopper Robinson urged Bellingham to sign for his long-standing suitors Liverpool with the Anfield giants reckoned to be a ‘great fit’ for the England international who has his best years ahead of him.
“He just fits in at Liverpool. The way that he plays and the system Klopp plays, it is a great fit. Bellingham is an incredibly talented footballer. He still has his best years ahead of him. He already has an unbelievable reputation. His charisma on the ball is something special. I love watching him.
To achieve what he has at such a young age is remarkable. I think he has been really clever with how he has managed his career and his career path. It is only a matter of time before he returns to England. I strongly suspect he will move to Liverpool because of the way they play. It suits him.”
