Liverpool’s assistant manager, Pepijn Lijnders, has spoken highly of young midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, describing him as a versatile player with the potential to excel at Anfield.
The 21-year-old made the move from Bayern Munich to Liverpool on the transfer deadline day and has made a strong impression since his arrival.
Gravenberch has already left his mark, contributing two goals and two assists in his first ten appearances for the club.
Following a challenging period in Bavaria, the young midfielder is now flourishing and rejuvenated at Anfield.
Before the League Cup match against Bournemouth, Liverpool’s assistant manager Lijnders shared his thoughts on the Dutch star.
While talking to the club’s official website, the assistant manager said:
“We knew what he is capable of. It is the Ryan Gravenberch of Ajax that we see now. He is a complete, complete eight with scoring and with attitude. It is the eight we searched for and the eight we got. We are thankful to our owners and our scouting, and everyone who made it happen.”
Gravenberch appears to have moved past his challenging period at Bayern and is currently realizing the huge potential he displayed during his developmental years at Ajax.
