Former Reds striker Peter Crouch believes that Chelsea FC star N’Golo Kante is the perfect fit for Liverpool FC’s midfield.
The World-Cup winning star is rumoured to be sold by Chelsea FC as Frank Lampard wants to raise significant funds to finance his spending spree in the transfer market.
Kante is one of the best midfielders in today’s footballing world. The French international has won two successive Premier League titles with Leicester City and then with the Blues. His performances in both the seasons has been acclaimed by fellow players and football pundits.

Lampard is on the verge of signing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen, however, is being priced out of a deal for the German starlet.
Moreover, with Blues being insistent on the transfer of Ben Chilwell, certain players would have to be sold from Stamford Bridge. The sale of Kante would fetch a hefty sum of money due to his popularity and quality as a player.
Crouch stated that if he were the Reds coach, he would surely go after Kante and attempt to secure his signing. However, the former Reds player admitted that the current squad assembled by Jurgen Klopp is world-class.
The Reds have several midfield options among their ranks. Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Chamberlain, Keita, Fabinho, and Wijnaldum are the first-team midfielders available at Klopp’s disposal.
However, Adam Lallana is set to depart Anfield at the end of the 2019-20 campaign. Moreover, recent speculation has suggested that Naby Keita could be sold by the Reds in the summer.
This could mean that Klopp attempts to sign a new midfield option soon. Squad rotation is a big part of the German’s management.
If Kante is transfer-listed by Frank Lampard at Chelsea FC, there is no doubt that many top sides would be interested in signing the French star.
Spanish giants Real Madrid FC too have been rumoured to be eyeing a move for Kante in the past. Ligue 1 champions PSG are also a suitable candidate for Kante’s signature, according to reports.
With the Blues having considerable midfield options, it is evident that Chelsea FC can operate well in the absence of Kante. However, it remains to be seen whether we would ever see Kante in the Reds shirt.
