Manager of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Luis Enrique has pointed to a busy summer transfer window amid rumors that Liverpool star Luis Diaz would be joining the French side. Though Diaz has a contract till 2027 with Liverpool, there were rumors late in the previous season that he might be moving to Paris.
With the announcement of Kylian Mbappe’s departure, PSG is now looking for a left winger. With PSG defeating Lyon in the Coupe de France final, Mbappe played his final game for the team. It is anticipated that he will going to sign the contract with Real Madrid soon.
Bradley Barcola has filled in for him during his absence but the team is eager to add another forward to their lineup. PSG’s plan to replace Mbappe was discussed by Enrique following the team’s 2-1 victory over Lyon. He said, “I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to be a coach to Kylian. Following seven years at the club and all of his accomplishments he has had a challenging year. It is difficult to say goodbye.

Mbappe cannot be directly replaced there is no other option. Four, five or six new players will help us bolster the roster. The squad will strive to win everything in the upcoming seasons as will our supporters and ambition.”
Recently, Luis Diaz has addressed any doubts regarding his future at Liverpool amidst the transfer talks. Upon winning Liverpool’s Player of the Month award for April, Diaz said “I have grown a lot. Every experience I’ve had starting from the beginning of my career and continuing to this wonderful club, has taught me a great deal.
In addition to feeling better about myself I feel like a better teammate and a nice guy. I am overjoyed to be in this place. I’m sure the club will have many more successful years ahead of it. I personally promise to always try my hardest give it my all and accomplish my goal of standing out on the field. I’m eternally appreciative to God for every chance.”
Despite his remarks indicating he is happy at Liverpool Diaz could still see changes due to PSGs interest in him as a possible Mbappe replacement. The possible move could rank among the major summer transfers with a reported price tag of £75 million.
Enrique wants to add a lot of quality players to PSG in order to keep the team competitive and win as many trophies as possible in the next seasons.
