According to the Mirror, RB Leipzig is reportedly interested in securing the services of Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho as they aim to bolster their attacking midfield options for the upcoming season. They are set to place a second bid for the midfielder.
The German club has identified the former Fulham player as a key transfer target. Despite having a bid of over £10 million rejected by Liverpool last month, Leipzig remains determined in their pursuit of the 21-year-old.
Liverpool has no intention of selling Carvalho at the moment. Nevertheless, the German giants are preparing to make another attempt to sign the talented Portugal Under-21 international.
Fabio Carvalho, a product of Fulham’s youth academy, made a move to Anfield before the 2022-23 season for a transfer fee of £7.7 million.

Despite limited playing time in his debut season, featuring in only 21 matches and playing less than 700 minutes, the 21-year-old midfielder has managed to score three goals for the club.
With Liverpool planning to bring in multiple midfielders during the summer transfer window, Carvalho does not appear to be part of Jurgen Klopp’s immediate plans for the upcoming season. However, the club is not currently considering a permanent sale of the player.
Liverpool is considering loaning out Carvalho to aid in his development and potentially capitalize on his value in the future.
However, RB Leipzig remains determined to test Liverpool’s determination by making an improved offer for the 21-year-old midfielder.

Carvalho himself may be enticed by the prospect of regular playing time in the Bundesliga and the chance to compete in the Champions League, rather than joining a team involved in a relegation battle on loan.
He may aspire to follow in the footsteps of players like Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho. While the Reds are open to loaning Carvalho, they may be swayed to sell if Leipzig presents the right offer.
