Real Madrid have reportedly decided against pursuing a move for Liverpool’s talisman Mohamed Salah in this summer’s transfer window.
Salah’s future in the Liverpool shirt has attracted intense speculation as of late with the Egyptian international holding out for a major hike in wages in order to put pen to paper on extended terms at Anfield.
With the Liverpool board not appearing to budge on their demands of keeping the wage structure unchanged, the 29-year-old Salah has been linked with a move out the exit door with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain tipped as potential destinations.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Defensa Central, however, the European champions Real are not expected to step up their interest in the Liverpool man with a move for the player this summer all but ruled out.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side look set to lose Marco Asensio this summer with AC Milan leading the chase to land the Spain international attacking midfielder who had been linked with a move to Anfield in the recent past.
