Real Madrid have no plans to offload Liverpool target Rodrygo

Real Madrid have no plans to offload Liverpool target Rodrygo with the Spanish giants poised to retain the youngster’s services beyond the January transfer window.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano ( via The Liverpool Echo), Liverpool’s interest in signing the Brazil starlet will be thwarted by Real Madrid who are keen on the player staying put.

A big-money £68 million move was understood to be plotted by the Anfield camp with Jurgen Klopp on the hunt for reinforcements in the final third owing to Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane heading off to the AFCON come January.

Talks between the winger and Real Madrid over renewing terms will be put in motion sooner rather than later, claims Romano, with Liverpool set for a setback in their pursuit of a prized signing to bolster their attacking ranks.

Jurgen Klopp has Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino as his star options in the forward roles in Salah and Mane’s absence with fringe player Divock Origi expected to step up and retain his recent consistency in front of the goal.
