Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio has reportedly been offered to Liverpool by his agent Jorge Mendes amid speculation over the player’s future beyond the summer.
Liverpool have parted ways with attacking trio Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino in the summer which could convince Jurgen Klopp to be on the lookout for a viable signing to bolster his options.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo ( via The Daily Mirror), it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders have been given the chance to bring Asensio to Anfield with the player looking to call it quits in Madrid.
Asensio is a name who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the recent past despite rumors being quashed that Klopp was interested in moving in for the Spain international attacker in the transfer window.
Klopp has signed Benfica dangerman Darwin Nunez this summer to bolster his forward roster with the 23-year-old Uruguayan international coming in for a potential club-record transfer fee.
