Real Madrid are set to complete the transfer of Liverpool’s long standing target Jude Bellingham with the Spanish giants close to an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over signing the midfield talent.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool had been long chasing the England midfielder but had recently declared that they were no longer in the contest for his signature due to the rising costs of the proposed deal.
According to a report from Spanish outlet MARCA, it is claimed that the Champions League holders Real are closing in on securing Bellingham’s signing despite strong interest in the Dortmund star from Manchester City.
The 19-year-old is expected to put pen to paper on a six-year deal with Real who are in line to reach an agreement in principle for his services this summer in a blow to the hopes of the Anfield faithful to see Bellingham don the Liverpool shirt.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are reported to be the frontrunners to sign Brighton maestro Alexis Mac Allister who is certain to leave the south coast later this year with Klopp’s Reds keen on his signature.
