Sources close to Liverpool FC have revealed that there exists a certain level of fear amongst the club’s management regarding the potential signing of Thiago Alcantara causing dressing room disharmony.
The Bayern Munich midfielder remains a key target for Jurgen Klopp in this summer’s transfer window. According to reports, the Reds have opened talks with the Bundesliga champions over a deal for the Spanish international.
Moreover, the 29-year old himself is believed to be very keen on finalizing a move to Anfield ahead of next season. Thiago remains eager on playing under Klopp’s management, reports suggest.
However, it is understood that Liverpool FC currently have a well-stocked midfield department at the club. As witnessed last season across the Reds’ Premier League title-winning campaign, the trio of Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, and Fabinho has been established as the first-choice midfield triplet.
Naby Keita’s showings in the final third of last season impressed both Klopp and the Reds, supporters. The young midfielder was a brilliant presence in the centre of the park for the Anfield outfit with his nifty passing. Alex Oxlade Chamberlain too is poised for greater first-team action in the Liverpool FC shirt come next season.
As a result, there does exist some doubt over Thiago’s arrival at Anfield by Jurgen Klopp, according to reports. Despite the Spaniard being a world-class midfield talent, the Liverpool FC boss does not desire of a hostile dressing room atmosphere upon the Bayern star moving to the Merseyside club ahead of the upcoming season.
