Roberto Firmino on Real Madrid’s radar for next summer

Spanish giants Real Madrid are being linked with the most surprising of moves for Liverpool FC forward Roberto Firmino next summer, according to reports from the country’s local news outlet, Todo Fichajes.

The Brazillian international is one of the three Reds attacking options that have gained world-class status in recent years while playing for the Anfield outfit, however, Firmino’s form in front of the goal for Jurgen Klopp’s side has been far from exemplary of late.

His goalscoring drought has lasted over a number of games, before finally getting broken in Liverpool FC’s latest Premier League victory, a 2-1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday.

Reports suggest that the Los Blancos would be very interested in making a swoop for Firmino, with manager Zinedine Zidane wanting to bolster his forward options at the club, despite having the likes of Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, and Luca Jovic at his disposal.

With Hazard being regarded as a flop signing since his switch to Spain from Chelsea last summer, Zidane is in need of a more creative option on the pitch, with Firmino fitting the profile of a more attack-minded playmaker being looked upon by Real Madrid.
