Salah And Robertson Out For Palace Encounter

The latest reports have claimed that Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson will not be available for the encounter against Crystal Palace this weekend at Selhurst Park in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are currently enjoying life at the moment as they are still the only unbeaten side in England’s top flight and also sitting at the summit of the Premier League table, eight points ahead of Leicester City and Chelsea in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. But the English table toppers are in for a tricky trip to the south of London when they face Crystal Palace and Liverpool will be without their two superstars Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson as they both haven’t recovered from their ankle woes.

Salah has been struggling with his ankle injury ever since the Leicester City game at Anfield when Foxes’ midfielder Hamza Chaudhary’s tackle left him in trouble and the Egyptian superstar took another knock when Liverpool faced Premier League champions Manchester City in their last game. The 28-year-old winger has been in great form at the start of this season and Liverpool could miss his presence on the pitch but an arguably bigger concern would be the unavailability of defender Andrew Robertson.

The Scottish left-back is usually the player in Klopp’s team that keeps Liverpool in high spirits with his energetic attacking and high-intensity defensive displays on the left-hand side of the field. The 25-year-old defender has been incredible over the past two seasons for the Reds and his absence will be a big issue for Klopp as Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is a major threat for the opposing team on the right-hand side of the pitch.

33-year-old James Milner will most likely slot in at left-back for Liverpool but the versatile veteran has had his share of problems dealing with the tricky Zaha in the past. English midfielder Alex Oxlade Chamberlain could be picked in the starting eleven instead of Salah or but Klopp can also field either Divock Origi or Xherdan Shaqiri in his attack instead.
