VfB Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic has admitted a move to Liverpool would be hard for him to turn down, expressing his love for the Merseyside Reds in a recent interview with a German publication BILD.
Kalajdzic has been in flying form this season in Bundesliga action, finding the back of the net on 12 occasions in 23 outings, and making a name for himself across the country courtesy of his impressive run of showings in front of the goal.
And with Jurgen Klopp’s outfit being linked with a number of attacking options this summer following a miserable title-defence campaign from the Merseysiders, Kalajdzic says that it would be very tough for him to turn down prospective interest from Liverpool FC in the future despite feeling completely at home at Stuttgart.
“I feel completely at home at VfB, but it would be a really tough decision because I really like Liverpool.”
“This club is simply special to me. When I was a kid, I saw the Champions League final in 2005 when Liverpool came back from 3-0 down against Milan to win. That gripped me.
“The last time I went to a Liverpool game with my brother, I really kitted myself out: I bought myself a scarf, jersey, cap and a mug.”
With Diogo Jota’s return to the first-team fold at Anfield after a two-month-long knee injury layoff, it remains to be seen whether Klopp would still push for further signing in the summer.
The former Wolves man showed his usual brilliance up front for Liverpool FC earlier this week at the Puskas Arena, registering the assist for Mohammad Salah’s opener in the 2-0 win over RB Leipzig.
