Liverpool have been given a €40 million price tag to meet should they want to bring in the high-flying Italy international Domenico Berardi to Anfield in this summer’s transfer window.
The Sassuolo man was in terrific form for his club this past season in the Serie A with 17 goals and 8 assists to his name and it seems as if the player has carried that rich vein of form into the UEFA European Championships.
Berardi has been one of the most influential names on the Italy teamsheet with Roberto Mancini’s men now through to the last eight of the competition at a stage where they are now backed as heavy favourites to lift the coveted trophy.
Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for the 26-year-old winger on the back of the player’s showings of late and the Italian news outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that Sassuolo are seeking a €40 million offer to part ways with their attacking talisman.
It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will give his nod for Liverpool to go ahead with an offer for the player or will he look towards the market once again for alternatives that he could bring in on a cut-price deal to bolster his frontline options.
