According to the latest set of reports published by Sky Sports, Liverpool FC have turned down Swansea City’s offer for Harry Wilson, with the Welshman being on the brink of sealing an exit from the Reds before Friday’s deadline of the ongoing mini-domestic transfer window.
After failing to leave Liverpool FC on a permanent deal before the October 5 deadline day, Wilson was rumoured to be on the fringes of Jurgen Klopp’s squad at Anfield. He did not even make the Reds’ 24-man squad for this season’s Champions League campaign, that commences with a visit to Ajax later this month for Liverpool FC.
The player had been linked with a move to Burnley but the Clarets’ opening bid fell way short of Liverpool FC’s expectations, which in turn meant that Wilson’s stay at Anfield was extended beyond the summer.
After his season-long loan spell at AFC Bournemouth last season not turning out to be the most productive as hoped for Wilson, the Reds wanted to part way with the 23-year attacker this summer, however, only on a permanent basis.
Swansea’s offer for Wilson falls short of Liverpool FC’s financial requirements, reports suggest, with the Merseyside outfit acting keenly on being paid a loan fee for offloading the player to the Championship outfit.
