Tottenham Hotspur could pip Liverpool to sign Inter Milan maestro Marcelo Brozovic who has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the recent past.
The Croatian midfield man is said to be one of the names on Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist as the Liverpool manager seeks to reinforce his engine room options by bringing in a fresh face in the coming transfer windows.
According to a report by Mondo Calcio ( via The Daily Express), it is claimed that Spurs are hopeful of landing Brozovic’s signature to reunite him with his former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte and teammate Ivan Perisic.
Brozovic penned a new deal with Inter only last March with his renewal set to run until 2026 but that has not warded off interest in his services from elsewhere with the likes of Liverpool and Spurs keeping close tabs on him.
Liverpool’s midfield roster has come under much fire this season owing to the increasing injury concerns coupled with the inconsistency in form shown by the skipper Jordan Henderson and defensive midfielder Fabinho.
