Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur this Saturday in the early kick off and this match has all the ingredients to become a classic. Tottenham had a strong start to the season winning all 3 of their opening fixtures, even beating Manchester United 3-0 away. However, a surprise loss to Watford in Gameweek 4 must have been embarrassing for Pochettino and his men.
Tottenham would be in full mood to continue where they left off against United in Gameweek 3. Kane hasn’t been his usual self this season and that certainly hasn’t helped Spurs. The Englishman has scored 2 goals nonetheless and will be firing on all cylinders, sooner rather than later.
To add to everything, the match is at Wembley. With the Champions League around the horizon, both teams would have preferred to shuffle their packs. Liverpool face PSG and Tottenham will travel to face Inter Milan.
This game is expected to be an intense battle for the first 60-65 minutes where both teams will battle to get a hold of the match. After the hour mark, both teams will be looking to give their star players a rest, especially those who have come back late from the international break.
The game against Tottenham embarks a rather difficult set of fixtures for Liverpool where they face PSG, Napoli, Chelsea(twice) and Man City in less than a month.
Tottenham did not make any signings at all this summer but the resurgence of Lucas Moura has totally overshadowed any weak-points. He would like to maintain his starting position, but with Son now back from the Asian Games, he will more-likely become a sqad player again. He certainly had made his point though after winning the Player of the Month award.
Prediction :Â Tottenham 2-2 Liverpool
