Liverpool’s dynamic full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will not be a part of the 26-man England squad for this summer’s UEFA Euros with the 22-year-old being ruled out with an injury.
Arnold picked up a thigh injury during England’s 1-0 win over Austria earlier this week in what was an international friendly fixture for Gareth Southgate’s side prior to their European Championship commitments.
The Reds star first-teamer had been forced off the pitch with his injury and fears were quick to rise amongst the England and Liverpool fanbase over Arnold being fit in time for the Euros.
However, reports from Liverpool’s official website have sounded out that Arnold has withdrawn himself from the England fold that will be partaking in the Euros which begin on June 11.
Liverpool had only two players in the England squad chosen by Gareth Southgate with skipper Jordan Henderson being joined by the now-withdrawn Arnold as Joe Gomez remains sidelined with his earlier injury issue that had forced him to miss the majority of the last season.
