Liverpool came from behind to secure a 2-1 win away at West Ham United on Wednesday night to pick up a third league win on the bounce.

The visitors were handed an early setback when West Ham maestro Paqueta found space in a central area and fired at goal from outside the penalty area to slot the ball past Alisson into the back of the net.
West Ham’s goal, however, reaped an instant reply from Liverpool who levelled the affair through Cody Gakpo with the Dutch forward striking from distance into the bottom left corner.
Jota went close on two occasions to put his side ahead while Virgil van Dik, on the other end of the pitch, had to poke Said Benrahma’s cross behind for a corner to deny Antonio from sliding in and scoring.
The home side thought they had retaken the lead 10 minutes after the break when Jarrod Bowen ran through on goal and found the back of the net with a sublime finish.
A VAR check ruled out the goal for offside and it was Liverpool who went on to score just minutes later when Joel Matip’s emphatic header from Andy Robertson’s follow-up attempt went past Fabianski.
Former Liverpool man Danny Ings was brought off the bench by West Ham and he could have caused trouble for his old club but Alisson was up to the task to stop him.
Liverpool held on for the win as West Ham’s calls for a penalty for a handball against Thiago Alcantara went unanswered in the closing stages.
