West Ham United are understood to be keeping tabs on Liverpool loanee Ben Davies ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.
Davies made the move to Championship outfit Sheffield United in the summer following his fall down the pecking order at Anfield as the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip returned from long-term layoffs.
According to reports from The Sun, Sheffield could be in line to lose Davies’ services when the transfer window reopens as West Ham are keen on making a move for the Liverpool man to bolster their defensive ranks.
Another Reds central defender Nat Phillips features on the wishlist for the Hammers boss David Moyes who is being forced to scout the market for reinforcements in light of an injury for Angelo Ogbonna.
Phillips has been a bit-part player for Jurgen Klopp in recent times despite his breakthrough last season and the Liverpool manager could be interested in shipping him out on a permanent basis should West Ham make a concrete offer.
