West Ham United have reportedly made Liverpool central defender Nat Phillips a top target for the upcoming January transfer window.
Phillips has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield this season and has increasingly been linked with an exit from the Reds fold at the turn of the year when the transfer window reopens.
An injury to summer recruit Kurt Zouma has sparked off the speculation that the West Ham United manager David Moyes will dip into the market for an emergency signing to provide cover in the centre-back role.
According to reports from The Evening Standard, it is claimed that Phillips is one of the names on the shopping list for Moyes who also has Burnley first-teamer James Tarkowski in his sights with less than a month to go for the transfer window.
Phillips made the starting team sheet for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over AC Milan on Tuesday night in the Champions League which was his third appearance of the season for the Merseysiders.
