Who are the 5 players Liverpool can turn to this summer to replace Mohammad Salah?

Come the summer Jurgen Klopp is bound to fret over the future of Mohamma Salah in the Liverpool FC shirt as the Egypt international continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The former AS Roma man has courted serious attention from the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in recent times and with doubts remaining over his contract extension on Merseyside, Klopp could position himself to search for alternative names in the transfer market.

Salah has been one major presence in the Reds dressing room ever since his arrival at Anfield in the summer of 2017 and should the 28-year-old decide to call it quits in Premier League football and make the move to Spain, Liverpool FC will have a major task on their hands to replace their megastar on the teamsheet.

Here are 5 players that are sure to be on Liverpool FC’s wishlist in their search for Salah’s replacement-

1. Ismaila Sarr

The Watford man was a top target for Jurgen Klopp’s side not so long ago but ended up staying put at Vicarage Road as the Reds made the chase for Diogo Jota who has been a major success for the Mersysiders in only his first season at the club.

Speculation linking Sarr with a move to Anfield refuses to die down as Sadio Mane’s presence in the Reds shirt could be a factor behind his Senegelese campatriot Sarr being lured towards joining the six-time Champions League winners.

2. Jadon Sancho

Another player who has been linked with an Anfield switch is the Borussia Dortmund and England sensation Jadon Sancho whose move to Manchester United fell through due to financial constraints last summer.

The Dortmund forward is understood to be keen on a return to his homeland and with the Reds expected to dip into the market for reinforcements, Sancho is one player that Klopp would be sure to keep tabs on.

3. Luis Suarez

The once Anfield fan-favourite was recently connected with a shock reunion with the Reds with speculation persisting over his future at Atletico Madrid beyond the upcoming summer window.

Suarez at 34 years of age has shown no signs of slowing down on the attcking front and on the back of his brillaint first season spell in Madrid could prove to be a suprise yet equally convincing purchase for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit.

4. Sasa Kalajdzic

The VfB Stuttgart striker has been one of the best performing attacking names in Bundesliga football this season and when quizzed upon a potential move to Anfield, Kalajdzic had added fuel to fire by claiming that such a transfer would be very difficult for him to dismiss.

With 18 goal involvements 29 top-flight outings the Austrian international is sure to be a target for a host of European heavyweights including Liverpool FC this summer.

5. Christian Pulisic

Pulisic has stepped up his game in recent weeks under new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel but in the latter’s early days at Stamford Bridge, Pulisic had seen limited first-team involvement coming his way as rumours of Liverpool FC’s interest in him started to intensify.

Despite the Blues not expected to part ways with the in-form forward anytime soon, they could be tested should Klopp step up his chase for the American international who had played under him during their Dortmund days.
