Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome high-flying Liverpool to the Molineux for Saturday afternoon’s contest in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp’s men saw off arch city rivals Everton rather comfortably on their travels to Goodison Park on Wednesday with a brace from star man Mohamed Salah propelling the Reds to a 4-1 win.
With Chelsea’s lead at the top only two points adrift of the third-placed Liverpool, Klopp will be hoping for his players to deliver when taking on a stern opponent in Wolves who have been in good form as of late.
The Midlanders had to settle for a point in their game against Sean Dyche’s Burnley outfit in the midweek outing which meant a second goalless draw on the run for Wolves who sit sixth in the Premier League standings. A gruesome fixture list awaits them in the coming weeks with Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United the opponents for their next seven outings.
Liverpool have fired on all cylinders following the recent international and despite a long injury list of key first-team regulars, the Anfield ranks have put out terrific displays ensuring four victories on the trot.
Bruno Lage’s Wolves, however, would not be written off from springing up the biggest of surprises come Saturday when Liverpool make the trip to Molineux which could sound out an evenly-contested affair on the cards for the viewers.

TEAM NEWS
The likes of Roberto Firmino, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones all remain long-term absentees owing to injuries for Liverpool but Jurgen Klopp has options to choose from ahead of the upcoming game.
Klopp has a midweek outing against AC Milan following the Wolves clash in the Champions League where Liverpool have already sealed their Last-16 spot leaving the Liverpool boss with little incentive to rotate his team sheet over the weekend.
Naby Keita and Joe Gomez are in line for a return to full training next week which would mean the duo are sidelined for Saturday’s affair in the Midlands.
KEY BATTLE
Hwang Hee-chan vs Diogo Jota
For the home side, summer recruit Hwang Hee-chan has been a stellar presence in the final third barring his recent displays proving timid. Lage will count on the Korean forward to return to his prolific best in front of the goal sooner rather than later.
Besides talisman Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s fortunes in the attacking half of the pitch have been lifted by the resurgence in form for Diogo Jota who will look to continue his high-flying run of finding the back of the net.
