World Cup-winning wonderkid a top target for Liverpool next summer

A sensational move for Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Kylian Mbappe to Anfield next summer is gaining a lot of momentum over the past few weeks since it came to be known that the Frenchman desires of leaving the Ligue 1 giants.

Mbappe has been a star-forward for PSG since signing for them in 2017 from fellow Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco. The 21-year old’s rise in world football is rivalled by very few across the globe. Mbappe is surely one of the greatest generational talents the sport has seen in a very long time and it is believed that the player harbours intentions of seeking a move elsewhere to further his world-class credentials.

Liverpool FC are a potential destination for the World Cup-winning striker to arrive at, provided La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid do not seek to battle it out with the Reds for Mbappe’s signature. The Zinedine Zidane-led side certainly possesses the brand image and financial resources to pull off the French international’s signing, no matter what the cost.

However, recent reports suggest that the PSG ace is in constant touch with the top management of the Merseyside outfit over a possible move to England at the end of the 2020-21 season.

Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a massive admirer of the young French forward and is reportedly monitoring Mbappe’s situation at PSG, with a summer swoop for the player next year not being a distant reality. However, for now, the Liverpool FC boss has played down rumour-mongering of his club being in the fray to sign Mbappe.
