Paris Saint-Germain eye sensational swoop for Liverpool’s Mohammad Salah

Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have opened talks with Liverpool FC star forward Mohammad Salah and his representatives with the Parisians eyeing a summer swoop for the in-demand Egyptian.

Reports from French outlet Telefoot claim that with fears rising over losing out on Kylian Mbappe this summer, PSG seek to add to their attacking options and Salah is one amongst the number of candidates on their transfer radar.

Salah’s uncertain future at Anfield beyond the summer

It has been well-documented in recent times that the long-term future of the former AS Roma man at Anfield beyond this summer remains doubtful with the player openly flirting with a move to Spain in an earlier interview.

However, recent reports had suggested that the Reds were keen on tabling a new deal in front of their attacking talisman to ward off interest in his services from Real Madrid who are seen as the frontrunners to land Salah’s much-coveted signature.

PSG see the 28-year-old Liverpool star as Mbappe’s replacement

Kylian Mbappe is one name who had generated considerable interest in the transfer market heading into the summer with the likes of Real Madrid and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC outfit keen on signing the World Cup-winning forward.

PSG, however, have put contingency plans into place should their attacking superstar call its quits in the French capital ahead of next season and the Ligue 1 side are eyeing a move for Salah with hopes of the Egypt international partnering Neymar and Angel di Maria at the Le Parc des Princes.
