Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic nearing move to FC Porto

Serbian international midfielder Marko Gurjic is on the verge of staging an exit from Anfield to sign for Liga NOS giants FC Porto who have been the frontrunners to sign the Liverpool man this summer.

Reports from Sports Witness claim that Gurjic’s imminent move to FC Porto will fetch Jurgen Klopp’s side a transfer fee worth €13 million which will come of use to the Liverpool boss who has fewer funds to work with this time around.

Grujic had been heavily linked with a move away from Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window on the back of his loan spell last season at FC Porto who intensified their interest in the Serbian with an approach to sign him on a permanent basis.

Klopp is understood to have no qualms over parting ways with Grujic, his first signing as the Liverpool boss which went through in the summer of 2016, with the midfield player not backed to have a future on Merseyside heading into the 2021-22 campaign.

Liverpool despite being on the lookout for a fresh face to fill Gini Wijnaldum’s void in the centre of the park seems to have decided against giving Grujic a chance to showcase his ability, meaning Klopp will be in the market for a new signing to shore up his options.
