In what will come as a fresh concern for the Liverpool supporters left perturbed by their club’s activity in the summer transfer window, reports from Goal claim that Jurgen Klopp had his sights on two midfield maestros in the market.
Liverpool had been backed by many to use the final hours of the transfer window Tuesday to bring in a fresh face for the midfield department at Anfield following the exit of the long-serving anchorman Gini Wijnaldum earlier in this summer.
The now Bayern Munich man Marcel Sabitzer was one such name in the transfer market Liverpool had eyed up a move for before the Austrian international playmaker left RB Leipzig to seal his move to Allianz Arena.
Southampton’s big-name midfielder James Ward-Prowse was another player which Liverpool had kept tabs on with his Premier League experience making him a viable target for the Merseysiders.
