Liverpool are backed to continue their longstanding Yves Bissouma pursuit in the January window with Jurgen Klopp keen on the Brighton midfield maestro.
The Mali international was one of the top names on the shopping list for the Liverpool boss in this summer’s transfer window but Liverpool’s strong interest in signing Bissouma could not materialise into a formal offer.
I'm told there remains long-standing interest in Brighton's Yves Bissouma from several clubs including Man United, Arsenal and Liverpool. Bissouma, who has 2yrs left on his current deal, is happy on the south coast, but one that could be revisited in January. #BHAFC #ARS #MUFC

With Brighton believed to be open to parting ways with the 24-year-old midfielder who has two more years remaining on his current deal at the Amex Stadium, Liverpool could find themselves in the chase for Bissouma’s signature this January, according to Metro’s Aden-Jay Wood.
Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from the Anfield fold earlier this summer had led to many urging Jurgen Klopp to bring in a replacement from the transfer market to replace the long-serving Wijnaldum in the centre of the park for the Merseyside giants.
Klopp, however, decided against signing a fresh face to bolster his first-team roster in spite of the likes of Bissouma and now Chelsea player Saul Niguez being linked with a switch to the Liverpool shirt.
