Liverpool given £40 million price-tag to meet for signing Yves Bissouma

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are pushing for a deal to sign Yves Bissouma before Tuesday’s deadline day but will need to fork out a £40 million fee to sign the Brighton midfield man.

Reports from the Liverpool Echo claim that Brighton are under no pressure to part ways with their star midfielder this summer window in which they have sanctioned the £50 million sale of Ben White to Arsenal.

Liverpool’s strong interest in signing the 24-year-old Bissouma, however, could set them back by a £40 million transfer fee with Brighton not looking to budge down on their pricing demands ahead of the deadline day.

Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from the Anfield camp at the end of the 2020-21 campaign has meant that Jurgen Klopp is one influential presence short in the centre of the park and the Liverpool boss has been backed to use the transfer market to bring in a fresh face.

Bissouma’s experience of Premier League football makes the Mali international a viable target for the Merseyside giants who have only a couple of days at their disposal to reach out to Brighton with a formal offer.
