Liverpool remain interested in landing Borussia Dortmund’s young talisman Erling Haaland with the player set to be made available for a cut-price fee next summer.
Reports from 90min have indicated that Liverpool and FC Barcelona have touched base with Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola over the possibility of signing him come next year for just £70 million.
The price will come into effect due to a clause included in his contract with Dortmund by Raiola which has made some of Europe’s biggest clubs keep tabs on the 21-year-old Norway international star striker who has been a revelation for the Bundesliga giants since joining them from RB Salzburg.
Jurgen Klopp has been open to adding to his attacking options with his star trio of Firmin-Mane-Salah all set to turn 30 later this season and a large section of the Liverpool fanbase urging the German to bring in fresh blood for the Anfield roster.
Diogo Jota is the sole go-to man for Klopp to turn to should a need arise with the other first-teamer Divock Origi right on the fringes after being retained by Liverpool beyond this summer’s transfer window.
