Liverpool’s Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino has returned to the Anfield fold ahead of this weekend’s Brentford clash awaiting Jurgen Klopp’s side in league football.
Firmino had been withdrawn off the pitch during the 1-1 stalemate against Chelsea prior to the recent international break and the 29-year-old has been missing from action since then.

However, Firmino featuring over the upcoming weekend for the Reds against the league’s new boys Brentford is unlikely to happen with Jurgen Klopp backed to play it safe over his star striker’s injury situation and the presence of Diogo Jota to provide cover in the striking role.
Jota has been Klopp’s go-to man to deputise for the Salah-Mane-Firmino trio when either star forward has been missing owing to injury or lack of consistency in front of the goal.
