Liverpool in line to offer first professional contract to starlet Kaide Gordon

Liverpool are understood to be in line to offer a first professional contract to starlet Kaide Gordon who has earned rave reviews for his showings at the youth level.

Gordan, who turned just 17 earlier this week, has been backed as a talent to watch out for on Merseyside and rumours suggest that a contract is in the pipeline with Jurgen Klopp an admirer of the teenager’s ability out there on the pitch, according to reports from The Liverpool Echo.

The forward became the fifth-youngest player to turn in the Liverpool shirt during last month’s Carabao Cup win over Norwich City in the third-round fixture played at Carrow Road as Gordan occupied a starting role on the teamsheet for the Reds.

Klopp has always played his part in nurturing young talent to move up the ranks at Anfield with the likes of Curtis Jones and Neco Williams notable players who have made swift progress for the first-team squad after coming through from the youth levels.

Another name who despite his tender age has made many take note of his fantastic ability is the teenager Harvey Elliott who has had a crushing injury blow dampen his inspiring start to the season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
