Liverpool’s interest in Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz is in line to be turned down with the player considered ‘untouchable’ for the next summer transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s camp have been linked with a move for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder on the back of his breakthrough at Leverkusen and a fine run of form that has increased his stock in world football.
With the Reds backed to bolster the midfield roster at Anfield sooner rather than later, Wirtz was one name that had emerged on Klopp’s radar despite the teenager being tracked by the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United.
FC Bayern, Premier League clubs and many others are following Florian Wirtz situation closely. Bayer Leverkusen position is still the same: he’s considered ‘untouchable’ for next summer. 🚫🇩🇪 #transfers

Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Wirtz’ suitors are unlikely to land his signature come next summer with Leverkusen set to dismiss any offer for their prized attacking asset with no release clause also in the youngster’s contract with the Germans.
Wirtz is not the only name that has increasingly been linked with a move to Merseyside as Klopp remains on the hunt for midfield reinforcements with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma high on the manager’s shopping list.
