Bayern Munich holds talks with Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi’s representatives

Bayern Munich held talks with Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi’s representatives in what could come as a major blow to Jurgen Klopp’s chances of signing the highly-promising attacking talent.

Adeyemi has been courted heavily by some of the biggest clubs across Europe on the back of his stellar run of form in front of the goal for Austrian outfit RB Salzburg and Liverpool are right in the mix for the teenager.

Reports from Sky Sports Germany, however, have suggested that Bundesliga holders Bayern Munich were involved in talks with Adeyemi’s representatives, which included the player’s father and his agent, to step up their approach of landing the youngster.

The 19-year-old himself is understood to be keen on a return to Germany’s top flight rather than seal a move abroad to the Premier League with Bayern joined by the likes of Leipzig and Dortmund in the race for his transfer.

Liverpool, meanwhile, could be forced to scout alternative names in the market with Jurgen Klopp backed to bring in reinforcements for his underwhelming depth in the attacking department at Anfield.
