Mohamed Salah became the highest-scoring African player in Premier League history after his fantastic hat-trick display against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Egyptian was on the scoresheet thrice in a 5-0 rout of the Old Trafford giants by Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders who sit second in the Premier League table with just a point separating them from the leaders Chelsea.

Salah’s red hot form has been key to Liverpool’s fortunes of late and the 29-year-old looked in no mood to tone down things when facing a toothless Manchester United backline who were unable to keep the Liverpool forwards in check.
His second strike of the day took him past Chelsea icon Didier Drogba’s tally of 104 goals in England’s top flight and the Liverpool man finished the game with another goal with his tally now at a new record of 106, state reports from ESPN.
Liverpool will be backed to prioritise contract extension talks with their mainstay sooner rather than later with Salah too admitting he was keen on penning extended terms at Anfield.
