Liverpool and Wolves are set for a battle over Adama Traore’s asking price with the Spanish winger a top target for the Reds heading into the January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp’s search for reinforcements in the final third has been underway since the summer and with an injury to his first-team regular Roberto Firmino, matters have gone from bad to worse at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will be due to take part in the forthcoming African Cup of Nations come January which will further add to the pressure on Klopp to bring in fresh blood for his attacking roster.
The Liverpool manager’s efforts to sign his longstanding target Adama Traore could, however, run into trouble with Wolves unlikely to budge down on their asking price for the pacy winger valued at more than £30 million by the Midlanders.
Traore looks certain to demand a move elsewhere from the Molineux, according to 90min’s Graeme Bailey ( via The Anfield Watch), and Liverpool remain poised to land his signature in what they hope should be a cut-price deal.
