Young Liverpool defender Trent Alexander Arnold has revealed that he would like to stay at Liverpool for his whole career.
The city that you were born in usually defines you most of the times and more often than not you have a special feeling and bond with that place. And Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander Arnold feels exactly that way about the Merseyside club. As a boyhood Scouser, the journey for Trent Alexander Arnold has been somewhat of a fairytale ride over the past few seasons after his breakthrough in the senior team.
At just 20 years of age, the level of maturity that Alexander Arnold has shown has been incredible to watch. Under Jurgen Klopp, Alexander Arnold helped Liverpool qualify for the Champions League final last season and also aided the club to secure a top 4 finish so that they compete in the same competition again this term. The Anfield faithful love seeing a local star take on responsibility and his passion and Alexander Arnold has no secrets as to how successful he wants to remain at Liverpool by committing his future to the club.
In a recent interview with the editor of the Times’ Henry Winter, Alexander Arnold at such a tender age stated that there is nowhere else in the world he would rather play football at than Liverpool, “There is nowhere else I’d rather be than Liverpool. Somewhere I want to stay for the rest of my career is Liverpool. It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. Liverpool are special. It’s completely down to the fans. Whether we are winning or losing we always have their love.”
The English right back also added that he would want to be the captain of the club one day, “I want to become captain one day. That’s definitely a dream of mine. I hope with dedication, the right advice and the hard work that still needs to be put in that one day I might achieve that dream of becoming captain, something that me and my family will be very proud of if it comes.”
