Liverpool and Monaco have struck an agreement upon a £15.5 million fee for Takumi Minamino’s move to the French top flight outfit this summer.
According to Sky Sports, the fee is an initial £12.9 million plus an additional £2.6 million in add ons with Liverpool set to sanction the exit of the Japan international Minamino who signed for them in the opening weeks of 2020
He spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Southampton before a return to Anfield last summer and was utilised as a rotation player by Jurgen Klopp across the previous season to much success.
Minamino was the leading goalscorer for Liverpool in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs with the former Salzburg man turning out in 22 outings in all competitions with 10 goals to his tally.
The signing of Darwin Nunez earlier this month, for a potential club record fee, had sounded out that Klopp would be willing to part ways with the likes of Minamino with Liverpool keen to trim down their squad size heading into the next season.
