Liverpool have confirmed the sale of forward player Takumi Minamino to AS Monaco with the Japanese joining the French outfit on a four-year contract.
Minamino was heavily linked with a move away from Anfield in this summer’s transfer window on the back of his limited first-team opportunities since he joined Liverpool back in January 2020.

A statement from the club’s official website has announced that Minamino completes a permanent transfer to AS Monaco with the Ligue 1 giants landing a player they had earmarked as a top target before the new season kicked off.
It is understood that Monaco will be paying Liverpool a fee worth £15.5 million to sign the 27-year-old Japan international whose arrival will bolster the forward options at the club which Philippe Clement was keen upon in the summer.
His exit from Merseyside, however, is the latest of a number of outgoings in recent weeks with Jurgen Klopp looking to trim down his squad size despite rumours doing the rounds that the Liverpool boss is satisfied with his transfer activity.
