Liverpool could eye up a move for Chelsea’s on-loan forward Joao Felix this summer as the Reds look to line up a replacement for the outgoing Roberto Firmino.
It has been reported earlier this week that the Brazilian international Firmino is set to leave Anfield at the end of his current contract which is due to expire this summer in search of a new challenge.
Firmino’s departure would certainly open the door for Liverpool to bring in a fresh pair of legs for their well stocked front line and Jurgen Klopp is tipped to eye a swoop for the highly-rated Portugal international Felix.
According to a report from The Daily Express, Liverpool could gain from the fact that Chelsea have not included an option or obligation to buy the Atletico Madrid man when his short-term loan at Stamford Bridge comes to an end in June.
Chelsea, moreover, are faced with the growing prospect of missing out on European football next season – which could convince Felix to make the move elsewhere as he prepares to call it quits with Atletico.
