Liverpool gain ground in pursuit of Barcelona’s promising forward Ansu Fati

Liverpool could be set to gain ground in their pursuit of Barcelona’s promising forward Ansu Fati with the Catalan outfit ready to part ways with the winger this summer.

Fati is understood to be one of the six Barca players who could be heading out the exit door at Camp Nou over the summer alongside Ferran Torres, Raphinha, Franck Kessie, Frenkie de Jong and Eric Garcia.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport, it is claimed that the La Liga giants will be open to accepting a knockdown offer for Fati which could be in the region of €‎60 million – a major boost to the youngster’s long standing suitors in Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is in line to lose his star forward Roberto Firmino at the end of the season with the Brazil international revealing his decision to seek a fresh challenge elsewhere and bring curtains down on an eight year spell in the Liverpool shirt.

It remains to be seen whether signing another forward would be on Klopp’s agenda for the summer after the Liverpool manager snapped up Cody Gakpo from PSV in the January transfer window.
