As many as four of Jurgen Klopp’s regular starters of his Premier League title-winning squad have been nominated for the 2019-20 PFA Players’ Player of the Year honor.

Last year’s winner Virgil van Dijk, along with his teammates Jordan Henderson, Sadio Mane, and Trent Alexander Arnold occupy four of the six places on the shortlist for the season-end award. Liverpool FC’s arch-rivals Manchester City also have two of their talents in Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling rounding up the remaining two places on the nominee list.
The Merseyside outfit’s quartet find themselves in the mix to win the PFA award after a tremendous season which saw the Reds’ lift the Premier League trophy after a gap of 30 long years. Klopp’s men finished the season with 99 points under their belt, setting a new club record in the process.
The PFA will announce the winner of the award Tuesday, September 8 through a ceremony broadcasted across the football organization’s social media channels.
